Darien Long

Darien Long is known as the Kick Ass Mall Cop and creator of GRSE - The Greatest Reality Show Ever. He was employed first as security, and then as a contracted on-site manager, for the Metro Mall in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. The Metro Mall serviced primarily the city's poor and some tourists. Vendors in the mall offered services, and included a nail salon, a restaurant, a tattoo shop, and a shop that created "gold grills" for people's teeth. Other goods that were sold at the mall included counterfeit goods, items that were questionably procured, costume jewelry, books, and illegally downloaded music. Drug culture was, and perhaps still is, dominant in the area. People around the Metro Mall included honest working people and tourists, as well as low-level drug dealers, gang members, drug addicts and alcoholics, con artists, prostitutes, and the indigent. Darien maintained some semblance of order at the Metro Mall. He achieved some international notoriety by way of a viral video of him tasering a woman. It was one of several serious confrontations Darien had at the mall.
