Carl de Villa

Early life and education Carl De Villa was born in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines on 15 March 1982. He has two brothers and one sister and was raised in Mactan, Cebu, Philippines. Carl went to Saint Alphonsus Catholic School for primary education, University of Cebu for secondary and graduated in University of San Carlos with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Television Carl De Villa appeared on The Voice (Australian season 8) in 2019. Unfortunately, he didn't go through the next round but he brought his unique energy to the hit by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars. Carl was also one of the "100 judges" for All Together Now Australia, an Australian reality TV singing competition on the Seven network. Music Career Purple Doves - Carl started being with the tribute band in 2016. Purple Doves is a live tribute band featuring Australia's extraordinary artists celebrating Prince music. Bruno Mars Experience - a tribute production show dedicated for Bruno Mars fanatics in Australia. The production started mid 2018. Pour It On - a tribute band which started late 2018. Pour it on showcases the 80's funk classics from Kool & the Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire, Prince, etc. M7 Band (2012 - 2016) - a group in Sydney that covers all time hits from the 80s to the latest. Band In Heat (2006 - 2012) - a cover band in Manila, Philippines that performs in clubs and events. Serendipity (2002 - 2004) - Carl was a lead singer for a band in Cebu, Philippines that does covers and originals. Redlites (1999 - 2002) - first ever cover band focused on alternative rock. Discography Walk Away (2018) music by Oscar 'OC' Cabarse Ok Lang (2018) composed and music by Oscar 'OC' Cabarse Theatre Experience Dreamgirls ( September 2017) - played the emcee role as well as 'Frank.' This musical was under Rockdale Musical Society and was directed by Rod Herbert. Miss Saigon (July - August 2017) - ensemble and Thuy understudy produced and directed by Neil Gooding and Ylaria Rodgers under Packemin Productions. 42nd Street (May 2017) - ensemble and was directed by Christie Koppe under The Regals Musical Society.
