Marc Zappulla is an American author from the Boston suburb of Medford, MA. He was born to Joseph Zappulla of Somerville, MA., and Lena Caccaviello of Avellino, Italy. His father, a former longshoreman on the Boston waterfront, was his inspiration to write his first novel, The Last Longshoreman. He's also worked as a ghostwriter for sports figures including Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender Gerry Cheevers, and Charlie Moore, a.k.a. "The Mad Fisherman."
