The Outsiders was a Swedish rock trio from Stockholm, formed in 1965, performing a tight psychedelic rock inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Steppenwolf. Thomas Hermelin (guitar/vocals), Sten "Plutten" Larsson (bass) and Per Björkman (drums/vocals) stood out among the pop groups in the mid 60's. They attracted a lot of attention and interest in Scandinavia and Europe, performing at legendary venues like The Marquee Club and The Speakeasy, recording for Reprise Records and in 1969 was offered a five year recording contract by Mercury Records. The Outsíders disbanded in 1970.
