Biography

Launching an independent production company at the age of 14, writer, producer, director, Timothy D. Martin Jr was active in the hip-hop and R&B scene producing an array of music videos for upcoming artists in the Chicago, Rockford, and Indiana area. Hoping to make an impact on his city, Martin entered the "Rockford Film Fest" with his short film, "Boy Named Spirit," which received a standing ovation for creativity, and earned the likes of an Los Angeles based TV network airing across Dish Network, Comcast, and AT&T-Uverse respectively. Martin duties was to deliver short bits for the cabler under his HardRockDigitalFilms label. After a 1-year stint, Martin would receive an offer from the CEO to handle the overall marketing of the network to help attract a younger audience to the brand. Thinking strategically, Martin developed a celebrity news blog which helped the company receive over 2 million impressions across social media and increased overall viewership. At the age of 19, Martin received an opportunity to write a family sitcom around the life of comedian, Travele Judon who was a stand-out on 'Food Network's' "Worst Cooks in America." The pilot was received well by industry insiders and got Martin another opportunity to write 'Happily Royal,' a single-camera sitcom pilot based on CBS' 'Young and the Restless' star, Kate Linder. Approaching his 21st birthday, Martin would be referred to the head of television at 'The Gersh Agency' who ultimately set him on the path of creating his own content and after a few years of development Xctveco Entertetainment (Executive Company Entertainment) was born with Martin spitting out bigger budget dramas that he pitches to top executives and studios.
