Ashlie Overby

Singer? Songwriter? Rapper? Comedian? Actor? How about all the above? That is what Ashlie "AYVIO" Overby brings to the table. Born and raised in Newport News, VA, AYVIO moved to Oklahoma after being stationed there by the U.S. Army. During his time in the military, AYVIO began performing stand-up comedy at local churches and eventually began to travel about the country providing many with the opportunity to laugh with him and his brand of humor. While serving on active duty, he auditioned for and won the role of Rainey in Danger Close (2009). Also, during this time, he began recording backing vocals and features for recording artists and in 2012, AYVIO recorded his first song. Soon after he helped form the group, Alpha Team. The group released one mixtape entitled, "The Project" in 2012 and an EP entitled, "Get Live" in 2014. When Alpha Team decided to take a break, AYVIO began to write and record his first solo effort. "To Her, With Love", AYVIO's debut album, was released July 9th, 2019. The album's style reflects AYVIO's eclectic taste of music. He fuses his gospel roots with R&B, Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop to bring a blended vibe with a little something for everyone.
