Biography

Derek Potts is the founder of Deepwater Productions, a movie and television production company based in Houston, Texas. He is an executive producer, actor, and attorney. He was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. His ancestry is French (mother) and Welsh (father). He started public speaking and debate at the age of 12 and was a member of his high school and college debate teams. He went onto law school and has since participated as a trial lawyer in some of the largest and most controversial litigations of the past decade and is the Founder and Managing Partner of Potts Law Firm, LLP, a national litigation firm based in Houston, Texas. His first major acting role was in the 2019 film, The Last Astronaut, where he played the Director of the CIA, Richard Bishop.
