Enrique Povedano

From a well-known family of zarzuela and comedy theater artists, he came to the world as the son of actors, he will marry actresses twice and had many children, some dedicated to acting. His beginnings can be considered in the first decade of the twentieth century, in a career that took him alternating it with the literary one until almost his death in 1965. In his long acting work, he was one of the actors called Apolineos when he was in "The Cathedral" between 1909-1913. There he obtained numerous successes in supporting roles, taking part in a whopping 40 premieres.The rest of his acting career can be summarized in his investigation alternating the genres of the zarzuela and the magazine, in which he obtained fame as a leading actor and figure during the 1920s and 1930s.As an alternative to his stage work in which he sometimes became director and producer, we find him in some books, known and announced in the press at the time. After the 1940s and after supplying other actors, and someone who died like Salvador Videgain in the company of Elío Guzmán, he retired from the scene, remaining as a playwright and writer from the 1950s on.
