Biography

Known throughout New England for her voice on WEIB 106.3 Smooth FM radio, Alysia has received multiple awards for her artistry, volunteerism and community service. A lover of the arts, she is a singer, dancer, actress, model and spoken word artist whose genuine love of people, authentic personality, comedic timing and expressive smile light up every space she enters! She is a Frank Hatchett alumni dancer who has continued to dance semi-professionally for over 30yrs, and has performed her poetry and in stage plays throughout MA, CT & GA. She has toured with multiple productions of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf", acted and sang in the Boston production of "Harlem Renaissance with a Gospel Flavor" as well as productions of "Chicago" and MORE! Her on-camera presence was evident as TV host of a woman of color, round-table, cable show called "IMO - In My Opinion" and on weekly video announcements across Massachusetts. A content creator, she hosted, "Why The Y", a cable show she created to highlight YMCA programs and initiatives as well as A native of Springfield, MA, Alysia graduated from Tuskegee University as a mechanical engineer, was a former math & science teacher, marketing & communications director for multiple YMCA Associations and is a sought after guest speaker, panelist, facilitator and emcee.
