Hector Danniel, professionally known as Hex Hectic, is an American hip-hop recording artist, media producer & creative entrepreneur. He began his career as a graphic artist & video producer for platinum & Grammy award-winning artists & industry professionals.
Hector "Hex Hectic" Danniel was born on July 11th in Chicago, IL. He was raised by his mother and his maternal grandmother in Chicago's Back of the Yards & Brighton Park neighborhoods. Growing up, Hector took a liking to comics, cinema, and music. At age 11, he restored a broken computer that was given to him at a local yard sale. It was then that he began to experiment with graphic arts.
As a multi-talented creative, Hector is self-taught. As an entrepreneur he has been described as a "mogul in the making" and as a recording artist, "the next hip-hop star" by award-winning journalist, Anna Davlantes. Musically, Hex's sound emits a stadium like energy and lyrically packs an earnest "hard work pays off" type of message. "Music has gotten me through the hardest times. I want my music to do the same thing for other people.." he stated, seeking to motivate and inspire his listeners.
In 2014, Hector released his first single, "Imma Blow Up." It garnered him local radio play on Power 92.3 FM. A few months later, at an invite-only audition, he released and performed his second single, "My Religion" in front of a panel of judges. The judge leading the panel was Grammy & Acamedy Award winner, Che "Rhymefest" Smith. Selected auditions would be invited to join an artist development program led by the decorated Hip-Hop star. The program was an initiative by Donda's House, Inc. An organization named after Kanye West's late mother. Kanye West & Rhymefest were both board members of the organization which has recently been renamed Art Of Culture, Inc.
At age 24, shortly after graduating the Donda's House program, he announced the launch of his first company, "COVA Creative." A design agency. This came as a surprise to many as the platform was typically used to announce participants musical projects & endeavors. Shortly after, Hector foresaw the needs of his clients growing beyond traditional marketing materials and quickly began to expand his skill sets in videography, editing & social media marketing.
Lesley Etherly, CEO & Producer at Contexture Media and frequent Donda's House collaborator, quickly took notice of Hector's work ethic & talents behind a camera and began to mentor him.
In 2019, Hector formed "Hex Media Group" and is serving as producer & post-editing supervisor for digital content at True Star Media. True Star was featured on an episode of the Lifetime Network's television series "The Rap Game" co-produced & hosted by Jermaine Dupri of So So Def Records. Hector's new single "Get It" is slated to release June of 2019.
