Screenwriter/Director: Cheryl Gallegos A U.S. Air Force Major (Retired), served as the Senior Joint Collaboration Watch Officer at the National Reconnaissance Operations Center, where she was responsible for leading a multifaceted team charged with delivering real-time intelligence to soldiers conducting national military operations worldwide and to national senior decision makers. Prior to that, she was hand-picked to be one of first females to attend Minuteman II, Modernized Nuclear Missile Launch Training, a combat position up to that point held only by men, where she graduated as a Distinguished Graduate. Cheryl went on to be the first female missile launch training instructor, the first female Squadron Command Post, Commander, and Commander of the first all-female Minuteman II Missile Launch crew. Cheryl was also hand-selected to brief Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Colin L. Powell, and his Russian counterpart on Minuteman II missile capabilities, as well as on START, a reduction treaty to reduce nuclear weapons threatening both countries. Now retired from active duty, Cheryl has penned her feature film entitled, "Cold War Charlie," a fictional dramatization based on her Air Force career experiences as an Intelligence Officer and Missile Launch officer, during the Cold War era.
