Ali Tabriki was born on February 21, 1989 in Tehran. He developed an interest in filmmaking in his early teens. He spent most of his teen age watching old movies (he was especially fond of Akira Kurosawa movies). He majored in electrical engineering at Azad University before switching to arts. He moved to Canada in 2016 to pursue his dream and attended to "Video Design and Production" program at George Brown College in Toronto. He self studied photography since 2014. He makes commercial videos and music videos. "The Artist's Dream" marks Tabriki's official film directing debut.
