Cynthia Guatemala was born in Los Angeles along with her twin brother. Her early years consisted of her being raised by a single mother and her siblings. Later on her mother married and Cynthia grew a love for Motown and other "old school" music introduced by her stepfather who grew up in the country and is African American. His traditional values molded Cynthia into appreciating classics and the value of family and love. in middle school she joined music class playing the flute for a year later on quitting because she disliked her teacher. After high school Cynthia worked different jobs some being Dairy Queen and Cracker Barrel but realizing something was missing. She took on a couple acting roles in hopes of satisfying her dreams of music. She states she finally got the courage to be who she is and started pursuing music after being in a couple music videos and talking to some influential local artists. She now goes by her stage name Cynthy Cynth and is placing her creative mark in the music industry with hopes in getting signed to Atlantic records
