Giovanni Galindo

Giovanni Galindo is a native-born Mexican writer and director. Giovanni moved to Illinois, USA at the age of six years old, causing his life to be a mixture of Mexican heritage along with a Midwest lifestyle. He began his filmmaking career during his second year in college, when he switched his Education Major to a Film Major. He attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale and kicked off his independent route during his production of Shoot 'Em Up, Gavin! during his final year at SIUC. After graduation, battling on whether to make the move West, he decided to hone his craft back in the town he grew to call a second home Peoria, IL.
