Daniel Maule (born Manchester 22 September 1996), is an English director, screenwriter and editor.
Daniel started to make films at the age of 10, experimenting with various types of film-making including animation, video art-installations and documentary before settling on narrative drama as his preferred genre.
Now based in York, Daniel is the founder and creative director of NA Pictures film production company.
"As far back as I can remember, I've been infatuated with film. As a child I would re-watch films over and over, thinking about how and why they were made in the way they were. For my 10th birthday I was given my first video camera and my friends and I started to make experimental and funny videos and shorts. Soon after, I entered a short animation into a local festival and won my first award. When I started college, I chose to study film, which gave me the opportunity to fully understand and appreciate each aspect of producing a film. In 2014 I set up my own film production company, NA Pictures which is based in the wonderful city of York. York has a thriving arts, film and creative scene which I am lucky enough to be able to be part of."
