Nikki Durbin

Nikki's love of film started from the moment her mom carried her into a movie theatre at the age of 3 to see Men in Black. From there, her infatuation with the silver screen only grew. With films like The Green Mile, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Collateral making emotional impacts on her childhood, it was predictable that she would grow up to pursue a career in filmmaking. Always studying, learning and expanding her interests by exposure to new films and reading of screenplays, she has four completed feature scripts in her arsenal, all pertaining to important social topics like discrimination and addiction, that she intends to direct herself at the first moment the opportunity presents itself. Following in the footsteps of greats like Frank Darabont, James Mangold, and Quentin Tarantino, Nikki hopes to one day make a name all her own and inspire women and girls worldwide to do the impossible; to strive for their dreams. She's impassioned with life and a supporter of equality, always fighting for the underdog. When she's not writing, reading or viewing her favorite films, Nikki spends her time hanging out with her mom, who is still her best friend and movie-buddy, and taking care of stray cats while not-so-secretly wishing she could adopt all of them.
