Driven to provide continuity of care for children in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Alison Thompson humbly performs the duties necessary to provide and administer the state foster care and adoption system. Continuity of care and insuring safety and permanency and self sufficiency of families in the state of Kentucky is her passion. As a resident of Kentucky her entire life she was inspired at a young age to become a public servant. DCBS was formed within the Cabinent for families and Children in 1998. After her graduation from University of Kentucky in he early 2000's Alison knew that she wanted to be a part of of the solution for the future of the Commonwealth. In 2018 she lead a group of social workers public officials and Artists to provide a voice For the thousands of children who need advocacy.
