Kira G.

Kira G. is 12 years old and just completed 6th grade. She co-wrote the Amazon Lee Adventures Series with her Mother, author Kailin Gow, as a way to feature a strong tween girl lead who embraces her love of technology, science, history, travel, and culture. Like Amazon Lee, Kira G. comes from a family of scientists, engineers, doctors, teachers and even a woman General. Her Grandfather helped a woman to become the first President of a country. Her Grand-uncle won the equivalent of a Nobel prize in medicine and science in Taiwan for discovering a heart medication that helped saved lives. And her uncles are holders of many patents in technology. On her father's side, Kira G.'s late grandfather, an American veteran, was an inventor who invented gadgets and machinery for manufacturing. Kira loves all things girly, but also has a passion for playing video games, especially Pokémon, filmmaking, cooking, traveling, and trying all kinds of ramen. She is also a budding filmmaker whose film idea, based on her upcoming manga, Pillowland Punch, inspired her mother to make the short film, A New Year's Story, which has won over 8 International Film Awards.
