Sean Ryan

Sean Ryan is a writer and director from Staten Island, New York, growing up with a sense of guilt for no apparent reason due to his Irish Catholic upbringing. However, Sean is now unapologetically optimistic once discovering his uncharted writing talents during his five years of military service after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Realizing he had something to say, Sean wasted no time making his first drama feature, These Birds Don't Fly South in the Winter (2019), now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, which was recognized by 13 Film Festivals. Diverging from his expected traditions and original career path, Sean's writing explores self-identity and struggling relationships which has led him to recognition by Screenplay Festival, Nashville Film Festival, and more. In addition, Sean's award winning psychological dramatic short films, Realm of Unknowns (2020) and Rewind Your Mind (2020) continue his exploration of people finding their authentic way in life in unique, vibrant worlds.
