Joe Crabtree

Joe Crabtree is a screenwriter and an award-winning director based in London, UK. His work has a visual focus with much of the story-telling conveyed through the framing of images throughout the film. For this project, Crabtree used perspective as a storytelling technique by creating a coming-of-age story that had two 'disillusionment' arcs for both characters at different stages in their growth into manhood. Besides film, Crabtree is a political activist and journalist who has shared a stage with Sir David Attenborough, been interviewed on CBC with 3 million listeners live and spoken in the House of Commons. Crabtree sees film as a medium to spread awareness of political issues.
