Biography

Ali Khaled Khatib, an Arab American with an Egyptian father (Khaled Khatib) and Moroccan mother (Aicha Kahia), was born in Bayridge Brooklyn in New York City, growing up both in the big apple and the greater queen city area. Ali began acting at the age of 8 in a theatrical capacity at Piedmont Players Theatre with a concentration on Shakespeare, performing in over 20 productions including starring in the roles of Horatio in Hamlet, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Wilbur in Charlotte's Web, and Marc Antony in Julius Ceasar. Ali's training during his decade at Piedmont Players helped craft his discipline, strength, and respect for the craft. Beyond the stage, Ali works in the film industry behind the camera, working with companies like Digital Promise, Transcend, Columbia Sportswear, Diamler-Mercedes Group, Verizon, and the Department of Education among others. Understanding the film production pipeline, Ali has a unique perspective from both in front of and behind the camera, from pre-production to post-production, and from script to screen. Ali was featured as Tommy in the Hallmark production "To Her With Love," a bad-boy turned artist through the help of a passionate art teacher. Ali is a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is studying Computer Science.
