The Great British Lock In

London is booming commercially and musically - an energized liberal elite celebrating debaucherous young artists of all persuasions. But all the fun and games are subversively underscored by some less desirable constructs: racism, homophobia and organized crime. At a sleepy pub in the east end that's all realized in one historic night. A renowned painter, arrives to celebrate his record auction by putting his winnings behind the bar. The lock in that follows is one of legend. But when a nosey policeman's curiosity gets the better of him, it threatens to spill over into something far more nefarious. This is a story of rule breaking, anti-social behaviour, kidnap, theft and avoiding arrest. It happened on a night of humble origin, in the 90's, thanks to a million pound painting.
