ISS (2017)

One day while at school, John Carter uses a computer plug-in called "Psiphon" to circumvent his school's firewall. His fellow students are doing the exact same thing. The Administrator, the school's resident hard-ass, is alerted of this activity and puts a stop to it by choking John and wheeling him away on a skateboard. None of the other students seem to notice or care. John wakes up in a dingy office with the Administrator, who punishes him with three days of in-school suspension. For the rest of the day, John despairs. On the first day of ISS, he meets Bolbi Volanovsky, a burrito smuggler. They become friends, and John helps Bolbi with his homework on the second day. On the third day, the Administrator drives John and Bolbi to his plantation outside of town, telling them to dig a ditch. The two begrudgingly accept, but soon grow bored and begin sword-fighting with their shovels. The Administrator sees this and pushes Bolbi to the ground, beating him mercilessly with his own shovel. Later that day, John is back in ISS and Bolbi is nowhere to be found. Only his hat remains. The Administrator taunts John one more time before letting him go. Finally free, John walks outside and finds a pair of car keys lying on the ground, right next to the Administrator's car. He uses the Administrator's car to drive away from school and into the sunset.
