During a period of heat wave in Toronto, where temperatures soared up to 46C (114F), Toronto Pig Save activists stood on a heavily-trafficked corned waiting for trucks that were transporting pigs to Quality Meat Packers' slaughterhouse in downtown Toronto. When the trucks were stopped by red light, the activists got their time to give the pigs water, melons and some affection. The pigs were cramped together, and suffered in the excessively hot weather.
