Memory Thief (2018)

Detective Bana enlists the help of his ex-partner, Jax because of her unique ability to access another's memories through touch. Jax steals a tortured woman's memories and uses them to catch her attacker. Jax keeps what she takes and tries to forget the vicious images with a bottle. The woman Jax helped finds Jax to thank her and though it doesn't erase the memories, seeing her waking and smiling brings Jax a modicum of peace.
