A Star for Marvin Gaye is a one hour, Emmy nominated music television special that celebrates the joyful, timeless music of the late multi-Grammy Award winning composer and singer, Marvin Gaye. Produced by Emmy Award winning Editor Don Howze and entertainment correspondent Cat'Ania McCoy, A Star for Marvin Gaye aired in Chicago and Los Angeles where it received rave reviews for its storytelling and music video style production. The 60 minute program documents Marvin Gaye's induction to the Hollywood Walk of Fame after a nationwide campaign spearheaded by radio journalist Ron Brewington rallied to have a posthumous star in Gaye's honor. Along with appearances from Marvin's dearest friends: Dick Clark, Berry Gordy, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Lou Rawls and a host of others, A Star for Marvin Gaye features vintage clips and performances including an interview from his long-time friend and recording engineer, Art Stewart.
