This feature-length documentary recounts the liberation of the town of Paimpol, in northern Brittany, in August 1944. The town was liberated by the joint effort of Task Force A of the American Third Army, then under the command of General George Patton, and the FFI (Forces françaises de l'intérieur), the newly united French resistance. Though there are lots of photos and a few news clips and some narration, the majority of this movie consists of excerpts from interviews with around fifty people who lived through the three weeks it took to liberate the town. Most are witnesses who lived in the area, but there are also two American GIs who were part of Task Force A.
