In the late Seventieth century, in Paris, an ambitious but not very wealthy young man of high quality, seeks to take advantage of his handsome looks and his knighthood with two mature ladies (a quarrelsome baroness and a wealthy middle class woman infatuated with nobility) while courting in secret a charming young girl.
