The artist, outsider and immigrant Fred Martens has a criminal past behind him and wants to build a new life in the Dominican Republic with his wife Pamela called Petra from the Dominican Republic and with his two children Karsten and Lenice. There, the artist want to realize his dreams of artistic life and he begins to paint and to film the beautiful landscapes and people. First he enjoys his stay in the Dominican Republic, paint o lot of pictures and makes a lot of parties...Then the journey develops gradually into a horror trip. First, his wife disappears, people are murdered. Fred loses control of his life and becomes an angry alcoholic. Fred orders the private detective Jürgen Warner to solve the case. Jürgen Warner has a terrible suspicion: Did Fred Martens go insane with his excessive alcoholism and he is the murderer? Or is Carlos, the mad brother of Petra, the murderer? Or the mysterious neighbor called "The Zombie Man"? When Jürgen Warner dies, he wanted to solve the case alone. He decided to make documentaries of the mysterious events with a small camera and mobile phone. In search of his family, he gets in a world full of crime, lies, madness, strange people and danger....until there is no way back. These are the last and cinematic diary entries of Fred Martens, who disappeared with his family 2002. Free after a story, which really happened in the Dominican Republic 2002.
