Elo Música (2018)

The Southern region of Brazil is much different from most foreigners' idea of Brazil; the land of Carnaval, tropical beauty, soccer, the Amazon, etc - It is very diverse with much European influence and has taken on its own identity both culturally and especially with regards to music. This was the motivation behind the feature documentary Elo Musíca, which presents traditional music from the Southernmost State of Rio Grande do Sul. With music videos and interviews with renowned artists like Renato Borghetti, Shana Müller, Luciano Maia, Cristiano Quevedo, Nina Wirtti, and Gabriel Selvage, it discusses the importance of regional music and the main influences of this generation. The documentary is an extension of the EloSul Project, which highlights many aspects of Gaúcho Culture.
