The Story of Vermont's Quiet Digital Revolution (2018)

Vermont is the second most rural State in the U.S. and has traditionally enjoyed a high social capital. But as modern technology transforms the way we live, there are stresses on that. In response, a new social media network has been created in Vermont that is found nowhere else in the world. No one else can sign up. Outside Vermont, few people know of it, but inside it's begun something of a quiet digital revolution: entire towns are signed up, sometimes with more accounts than households. Why? It aims to restore classic threads of neighborly communication. And in doing so, it has the power to disrupt the balance of everything Vermonter's hold dear.
