This film follows a research group as they make a survey of a 19th century shipwreck lost in lake Huron in 1884. Now laying in 132 feet down of near freezing water off Echo Island in Georgian Bay Ontario Canada. Much of the vessel still remains in good condition and as a result, she has become of great interest to those making studies of North America's marine heritage. The particular survey done, like most of those performed in the Great Lakes, had it's own special hazards and problems. Certainly the extreme depth. the cold and ever changing weather mad the research project as difficult as any you might perform at sea.
