Thirsty for Rain (1978)

Engaged to Maryam, Iraj finds out that he has cancer. For the sake of Maryam he avoids her, telling her numerous lies to end the relationship and save Maryam from the final heartbreak. In the same time the nurse who informed him about the cancer falls in love with Iraj. Iraj unaware about the truth, gradually falls for the nurse.
