In the early morning of February 12 2014, a large sinkhole opened up under the floor of the Skydome exhibit hall of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green (Kentucky), swallowing 8 valuable and rare automobiles. Through personal recollections from the staff, we learn how the Museum dealt with the misfortune, especially its efforts to recover all 8 cars before repairing the museum structure.
