Angeekar (1966)

The story revolves around a simple village boy Mohim Roy who dreams to make it big as a musician. He is very dedicated to his music. He eventually comes under the guidance of a famous singer, Champa who was very famous but had abruptly left it after a personal trauma. Champa helps Mohim get famous. She helps her provide the necessary platforms in order to catapult him to success. Mohim falls in love with a rich man's daughter Reba. Reba is already all set to marry Rajat,a scholar who had just returned after an Oxford stint. Blinded with frustration Mohim gets drunk and goes to meet Reba to clear out their complicated situation. Reba's father insults him and throws him out of their house. Gauri who had always loved Mohim who is forced by family to marry another man. Mohim's entry in the right time re-unites them for happily ever after.
