A former master butcher in an idyllic rural setting fears that the cherished traditions and future he had envisioned for his son Franzl are in jeopardy when Charlotte, a vegetarian from the big city, bursts into the young man's life. Values are upended and angry arguments ensue, but will they be able to iron out their differences and reconcile?
