An older English gentleman marries a half of his age woman. They relation might not being perfect, and the woman gets into a defamatory, intriguing noble class society, whose members want to destroy their marriage, as they have nothing else really to do. The couple stuck in various love rumors and snatching, but eventually the marriage remains, and the truth exposed.
