David Vaughan was an eccentric character who suffered from bipolar disorder and was prone to aggressive outbursts. This was compounded through largely un-treated liver disease which affected his mental state further. Throughout the last months of his life he smashed windows in his house, broke doors from hinges and set fire to his belongings. His family had to move away for their own safety and so the house came to resemble what a squat would look like. However, underneath the squaller was a man who was a pioneering artist, a founding member of the 'swinging London' scene, he had a famous daughter, Sadie Frost. But who was David Vaughan and how did he come to such a chaotic end?
