New York Gypsy

POURKO is a poor Gypsy musician from Eastern Europe who accidently finds a lost passport and an airplane ticket to New York. They belong to JOHNNY, his doppelgänger. Neither one knows about the existence of the other. Johnny is an infamous thief who is plotting some robberies in New York. When both of them arrive in the Big Apple, they fall into a series of funny - and sometimes dangerous - mix-ups. Johnny is a skillful thief and a nasty guy. But, sometimes, in moments of loneliness and dissatisfaction with his life, his tough veneer cracks, revealing his underlying sensitive nature. On the other hand, Pourko's musical career takes off quite successfully, thanks to his positive attitude and to the help of a booking agent, a young woman named WINKY. She is a hottie whose only imperfection is a tic in her left eye that makes her wink unintentionally. There is an undeniable attraction between Pourko and Winky, which is heightened by the clash of their cultures. In the end, they overcome their differences and fall in love. When Pourko and Johnny finally meet up, the missing pieces of their lives fall into place. The meeting profoundly changes Johnny's character for the better - making it almost impossible for Winky to distinguish one from the other.
