The main male character can be seen completely naked laying on his back on top of coconuts in an open-top wagon, in a wide angle-shot. Initially he is wearing only shorts, before removing them. He briefly grabs at his genitals as if to wipe the sweat there away, before resting his hands on coconuts and proceeding to rest altogether.

The only sex in the whole movie takes place far out of frame, as implied by the distant voice of a woman giving off gratification moans in an coconut orchard. Only three scenes of nudity are this movie, and one of them contains full frontal nudity of male and female.

No violence toward human beings, but some pain is inflicted upon a farm animal. No blood, while the extent of the gore is that of a human corpse with a heavily-mutilated head and face being groomed for burial or so.

A somewhat macabre theme is present throughout the story line. Part of this involves a character finding a human skull and interviewing townsfolk in the hopes of identifying the deceased: "Zé Pereia". Another part involves work upon a corpse that is otherwise intact apart from the eyes and flesh of the head having been eaten away to the point that the only thing left is the skull and a little bit of skin around and below the jaw.

A pig repeatedly squeals in discomfort, shudders and tries to evade the hot pen, as the pig is being given a tattoo on the hip region. One of the pig's front legs are bound with a rope to a support beam, preventing the pig from escaping.

None really. However, a tidal wave is shown briefly enveloping a man, before the shot cuts to a new scene altogether. Similarly a pair of small children being splashed, perhaps enveloped, by a tidal wave can be seen as a brief picture bite among a news montage of various footage, displayed on a small television set, and no indication of what the children's fates were is provided.
