"Breaking Through the Lens" is a documentary featured on "The Doors: R-Evolution" (2014) DVD/Blu-Ray video release, which tells the story of the band's growth in front of the cameras, from their early appearances on television variety shows to their masterful use of film as a way to enhance the message of their music. The piece includes insight from Doors members John Densmore, Robby Krieger and the late Ray Manzarek, as well as famed record producer Bruce Botnick and Elektra Records Founder, Jac Holzman.
