Velicham (2012)

Neelan, a man in his forties, lives in a remote village in Kerala. He used to be popular in the whole region and well-known as 'the man with the projector', traveling around villages without cinemas and entertaining the villagers with his Malayalam films. Neelan was frequently invited to the villages' prime events to do a show for the villagers. The entry of television into village life changed Neelan's fate. Hardly any visitors came to Neelan's shows and he and his projector were no longer needed. Neelan accepted those changes but treasured his films until a fire destroyed the precious film reels. People forgot Neelan and his efforts. Years later a film crew approaches Neelan for an interview. Neelan tells them stories about his past and remembers the times when he was 'the man with the projector'.
