Never do well poet Sturla plagiarizes his dead cousin's poem on the strength of which he is invited as guest of honor to a poetry festival in Lithuania where he steals a coat from a gangster, falls in love with a Belorussian poetess and heads towards a spectacular catastrophe as his honorary reading draws near.
