When 8-year-old Jackson arrives home from his Jewish Day School with tough questions concerning his Jewish Identity, it spurs his Dad, Ken Klein, into grappling with issues of his own. With camera in hand, Klein sets out on a quest that leads him from Portland's Jewish leaders to outliers, to artists, scholars, parents, their kids - and finally back to the Brooklyn housing projects where he was raised, to figure out what it means to be a Jew in Portland, Oregon today.
