From London under the Blitz to occupied Paris or Lyon, the underground capital, Daniel Cordier returns to the scene of his engagement in the Resistance, during the Second World War. He tells Régis Debray how he won England in 1940, was initiated there in the war, was parachuted in France before becoming the right hand of Jean Moulin. Step by step, the daily intimacy of freedom fighters is emerging, as close as possible to a certain truth, that of human beings and events. This document takes the opportunity to question what remains today of the ideas and values of that time, but also of the landscapes, restaurants, streets, squares and gardens where the future of France was played out.
