A teacher catches some students smoking a marijuana joint. After berating them and confiscating the joint, he smokes it himself. The teacher smoke another joint later in the movie. The same teacher has a prescription pills addiction, and is seen shopping online pharmacies for his drugs. He tries to blame his drug use on his MS, but is told by a counselor/doctor character that he needs to go to AA for his addictions. The teacher does not suffer any consequences for his drug use, but at the end he goes to an AA meeting.

A sudden car crash scene, the father's blood drips down onto the sons face (portrayed as a traumatizing event, not just for gore). A boy make some large cuts on his forearm in a self harm scene.
