Science Trek (2009)

"Star Trek" alumnus LeVar Burton hosts this exploration of how the science fiction concepts seen in "Star Trek" have inspired today's scientists and researchers in the fields of language translation, invisibility, quantum teleportation, virtual reality (the "holodeck") artificial limbs and robotics (Commander Data), materials (plasma windows, graphene, and "claytronics"), nanotechnology, medical imaging, and the persistence of brain memory.
