A brief sequence early in the film depicts a man being attacked and kidnapped by militants. His face is shown to be badly wounded, but he is quickly rescued. In a later scene, it is implied that a young boy is killed after standing on a landmine. Another boy is running along and hears the explosion behind him. He sights the smoke caused by the explosion (however, the dead body is not shown on screen).

Contains only occasional use of coarse language during the course of the film. In a short scene, "fuck" is used frequently for comic effect, however, uses of "fuck" elsewhere in the film are infrequent. In another scene, "fuck" is used a few times in quick succession by a distressed character after an act of betrayal. The film also contains occasional use of milder terms such as "shit" and "arsehole".

Contains infrequent depiction of tobacco consumption. Use of alcohol is frowned upon by most of the characters in the film.

Two scenes of violence in flashbacks may distress some viewers, but such scenes are depicted with restraint and their overall impact is mitigated somewhat by the overall comic tone of the film.
