El Soñador (2013)

El Sonador is an intimate portrait of a dreamer, Marcos 'El Sonador' Alvarez, a blind street musician from El Salvador living in San Francisco. Shot in 16mm and Super-8 film and using hand-processing and optical-printing techniques, El Sonador attempts to visually represent Marcos' struggles with blindness and poverty as well as his dreams of overcoming them with music.
