Damad Chahiye (1985)

Shiv Prasad Gupta, a grocery store owner, lives a decent life in Bombay with his wife Shobha and three young daughters Mala, Malti and Meena. He is trying hard to get his daughters married to suitable boys as soon as possible. Gupta's friend Dr. Singhal's son Vinod, a government employee, gets transferred and arrives in Bombay. Gupta lends one of his vacate rooms to Vinod on rent. Gupta and his wife, finds Vinod to be suitable for one of his daughters but Vinod falls in love with his office colleague Manju. This irks Guptas. They throw him out of house. Vinod takes a temporary shelter at Manju's house. Gupta finds out and goes to Manju's parents to instigate them against Vinod. This creates a rift between Vinod and Manju's parents, temporarily though, but finally, they agree to Marry Manju with Vinod. Gupta gets angrier and decides to frame Vinod in a bribe case. On it's way to Vinod's office Gupta encounters Manju who saves his life while crossing heavy trafficked road. During the conversation Manju reveals that she is the one who is getting married to Vinod. Gupta realizes his mistake and attends Manju and Vinod's marriage with entire family. During this marriage function, he also manages to find suitable matches for his three daughters.
